Crawl Space Sewage Cleanup
With several hundreds of crawl space sewage cleanups completed in the Hampton Roads area, we are trusted experts in the hazards that come with this arduous task. Spiders, snakes, even wild animals all pose a threat along with other concerns such as submerged electrical lines, sharp objects like metal, and a slew of other things. One must be very cautious when cleaning out these tight areas for the several dangers that may be lurking.
We have done foreclosed homes with animal waste in the crawl space so bad that you would think there was no way to eliminate all odors. Still, we do so very well. When you are ready for an estimate, give us a call. If you are prepared at that time, we can be out to you in under two hours in most cases. Returning your problem area(s) to a safe condition is our top priority and your peace of mind.
How is sewage under my house disposed of?
To answer this question in short, legally, of course! We will not do anything against OSHA guidelines, and believe me, we have been asked. All raw sewage in a crawlspace is first vacuumed to the best we can get of the liquid mess. After that, an inch of affected dirt is dug up underneath the plastic moisture barrier, removed entirely. All debris is removed in trash bags one by one until your crawlspace is cleaned out.
The next step to this process is to treat all areas with microbial and dugout areas with lime. Unique fans are used to dehumidify and dry the area before installing a brand new six mill plastic barrier. This new barrier is a more solemn duty and will prevent the possible ripping up of dirt again in the future should there be a raw sewage leak or cracked pipe.
